New SIM old number not transferred

I ordered a pay monthly SIM. I gave my PAC code at time of order.I was told when my new SIM arrives when I insert it my old account will close and my number will transfer. I have received the SIM and installed but it still has new ee number and my old account is still active. Does it just take time or do I need to do something else?

When did you make the request?

 

Have you called EE on 150 and asked them about the transfer?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.
