My iPhoneX has arrived, but the SIM card isn't activated

I've received my pre-ordered iPhoneX today. I'm a new EE customer (or trying to be).

 

All the online guidelines indicate that the new SIM should be pre-activated, but mine isn't. When I try to register for online services or call EE for help, the system asks for my mobile number but then doesn't recognize it. 

 

So, I'm stuck.. can EE representatives please help?

You could always ring EE from a landline on one of the below numbers. I would expect they would be able to activate your SIM card for you Smiley Happy

I've been advised it's a bit more complicated than that. Customer services are on the case.

The last time I posted here, I had said customer support are on the case. Because that was the impression I had. 

Today it's been a full week, and I haven't received any updates - not even a single word. And, I have a phone of which I paid the upfront costs and still can't use. 

I asked if I can cancel this whole thing and return the phone. I was told I first have to wait for it to be activated. 

 

Can't find the words to describe the frustration.

I recommend contacting customer services to find out what is happening.

 

They have access to your account and should be able to help sort this out.
