I have a new Samsung A5 and need to do a simswap as previous sim doesn't fit, but it's been 15 hours since I did it and still not activated, how can I tell if it's actually in progress or I've messed up and I need to re-do the process?

I followed all the onscreen instructions I've, getting code sent to old phone and inputting into new etc. Both phones now have no connection to operator.
i called business support who said their having server issues at ee and hopefully should be ok this time tomorrow ? ...but would turning off and on upset their activation processs ?Thanks
