Dual SIM Pixel 4XL Different Networks

I have Pixel 4XL with a physical ee SIM.  It is capable of taking a second eSIM.  I work in the NHS and we use O2 as our provider and am increasingly needing to use my phone for work.  They will provide me with an eSIM if needed.  Will my phone (still in an ee contract) accept an eSIM from O2 or  does it have to be an ee eSIM?  Thanks.

Re: Dual SIM Pixel 4XL Different Networks

HI @NikolasR and welcome to the community.

You can use an eSIM from another network, but you will need an unlocked phone. If you purchased the phone from EE it will be locked to EE.

You can read about how to unlock it here:

https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/getting-started-and-upgrading/unlock-your-phone/unlock-a-ee-device-to...

You can also convert your EE SIM to an eSIM if you are on a pay monthly plan, if that's easier to manage.

Hope that helps, any questions, please ask.
