phone not

Same situation as bellow.

Hi, ive come abroad and my phone isn't working , the contract is about one month old , I've heard it might not work till after 3 months abroad if you've not paid a deposit but I paid a £100.00 deposit when I bought the contract. I've added the 'calling abroad ADD-ON' also with no luck ... I can receive calls and SMS but can't send. Phone settings are fine , I'm connected to network provider 'Telekom.de' with good signal. Why isn't this working... I've no way of getting hold of EE as I can't even call 150 ... How can they not offer an online live support in this day and age ? I'm out here along time and can't contact loved ones.

Hi @biotapestry

Log into your online account and then Menu- Manage Device. Make sure both roaming and international calls are active.

Restart your device.

Re: how do i set up my phone to work abroad?

@biotapestry

The big yellow button at the top of the page.

If you have linked your account and you are using a mobile device then click on the three lines at the top left - MyEE -MyEE then click on manage this device about half way down the screen.

Alternatively if you are using a pc then see my above post.

Thanks

Re: phone not

What was that £100 deposit for? Roaming deposit is normally £50.

You log into MyEE account to get to the Lve Chat.

It even says at top of page MyEE

Re: phone not

@biotapestry : The CALL ABROAD add-on is not for roaming but for calling from UK.

If you are on contract, on the Get in Touch page open up the "EE                  +" & you will find Live Chat, when it's available during EE UK opening hours, looking like:
