iPhone disable roaming - how?

Going to a country that isn't in the roaming included on my Max plan.

On an iPhone do you just go to Settings>Mobile data>Mobile data options> and turn off Data roaming in there.

Would this mean there is no chance of getting charged and it connecting, and then I can just connect to WiFi and use WhatsApp etc?

thanks

Re: iPhone disable roaming - how?

Hi @Mr111,

You can't use data outside of the EU without purchasing an add-on so you don't need to worry about accidental charges.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that'll stop you using data for roaming but you could still make calls & text and receive calls (but not texts) which'll cost you. I don't think there's a setting for that but you could look under the Call & Messaging apps.
