iPhone SE worked in Venice but now in Paris it's 'no service'. Why?

We have an iPhone SE that worked perfectly well in Venice a few months ago (which means that we have registered for roaming) but now in Paris it just says 'no service' whatever we tried. Please help.

Hi,

Have you upgraded or changed your contract since your Venice trip?

Have you tried resetting your network settings?

Thanks

No change to contract, and done all the usual resetting.

Hi @wckp

Welcome to the community. Smiley Happy

Sounds like a brilliant trip, Venice and Paris! Smiley Very Happy

Please try the troubleshooting below:-

Try re-booting your device

Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’

Perform a manual network search:-

  • iPhone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

Please let me know if any of that works.

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried all that, but no luck. It found a number of networks, including one that works fine on another family iPhone 6, but the SE did not pick up. 😞

Ok, thanks for trying @wckp.

Usually turning 4G off helps in France. Did you turn that off before doing the manual network search or after?
