Yesterday I bought an international pack so that I could keep in touch with a sick relative while travelling in France. I was assured it would work. Now I am here all phone calls are barred. I need urgent help to remove bar. I was promised I would not have a problem!

@CaFiro : If you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150?
Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Otherwise try logging into your MyEE account online & go to Menu / Manage Device / Roaming Abroad and also Call Abroad and Premium rate. They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated. If they are not ticked, can you activate these settings?
PAYG is auto enabled for roaming. You don't need to & can't do any of the above.

I’m on pay as you go international pack. So cannot see the option on manage device. I was assured it was all ready to go in store without needing to do anything

Was it an International SIM you bought, not just a Pack? Did you use the SIM in UK before going abroad? EE SIMs need 1st activating on the EE UK home network.
