difficulty getting coverage in parts of USA

On a recent trip to the Rockies in USA I found that most of the time I had no coverage. I did get coverage in Denver, Salt Lake City and Cheyenne.  Is this really the case that EE has no partner network for large parts of USA, or is my pay as you go phone just not set up correctly?

Any suggestions appreciated.

The last time when I was in the states, I had to manually select AT&T or T-Mobile.

 

Which phone do you have?

Hi

 

My phone is a Huawei Y550.  It did find T-Mobile coverage in the three cities I mentioned.

The point I am making is that outside these limited areas there was no coverage available to me. I am asking whether this is to be expected, if this is the case then having EE as a provider would appear to be of limited use if you are trying to use your phone in USA.

Perhaps someone from EE could actually answer my question please.

Hi @dhpaul,

 

As @winston said, we have roaming agreements with multiple networks in the USA so I would expect you to have coverage in most areas.

 

Did you try manually selecting a network when you lost signal?
