Will I be charged extra for using my monthly contract in America?

I have a monthly contract with EE and will be staying in the USA for 7 weeks. Am I better getting a pay as you go sim or can I continue to make calls, messages and use data without additional charges?

Yes, unless you have a recent EE Max Plan.
