Why don't you allow wifi calling in the EU

Why can't you use wifi calling in the EU?  Seeing as you can roam like home in the EU now surely it's in your interest to allow it, as you avoid incurring the costs of transmitting a call or txt message over a foreign network. You are not going to be losing any money if you allow it.

Hi,

You have answered your own question. As EE allow roaming then there is no need for it in the EU as there is technically more network coverage as you are not tied into one provider.

Thanks

Hello there @neil_cm17

Thanks for coming back to the community.

I am sorry WiFi calling is not available abroad.

You can use your allowance for calls, texts and up to 15GB data within the EU>

Thanks, Leanne.

I just don't understand why it's not available as there are still places abroad indoors where coverage is poor and wifi is available.  It would actually save EE money as they wouldn't have to pay their roaming partners if you made a call via Wifi.

@neil_cm17  And when your not in the EU do you except not to have roaming charges.  ?    EE can not just make it available in the EU only it would work world wide.
