Why didn't I get any service when I was in Europe?

When I was in Amsterdam and Belgium before Christmas I didn't get any signal at all, it just said 'no service' the whole time. My husband is also EE but he connected to the local networks. Why didn't mine work?

Did you activate roaming on your account? 

 

Text ROAMING to 150 to find out as per EE help pages here.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

Yep I've texted it but not had anything back. Might have to ring them?
