Unable to make outgoing calls in france

Im currently in France and am unable to make outgoing calls?! 

My 4g/3G is working fine and has been for the first 2 days, therefore iMessage and apps and working. 

But... when I go to make a call to a uk landline or any current contacts I just get a automated voice message in French (I presume telling me it's not working) or the 3 beep and cut off scenario. 

Help anyone??!!

It sounds like you have an international calling bar on your account.

 

Please get in touch with customer services and a member of the team will remove it for you.

Hi, 

 

Try resetting your network under settings. Don't forget to add the UK +44 country code. 

 

If that still doesn't work and you are an EE pay monthly customer you can use the live chat function after 8am tomorrow, under the EE section of the contact us page. (click on the cross next to EE and the live chat function will be visible)

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.
