Travel data pass SA not working

  • I'm working in South Africa - I have a travel data pass on my account which has been working fine up until yesterday. Now I just get the prompt to buy data if I try to go online. Any ideas?

Re: Travel data pass SA not working

Hi @Mikeh66 and welcome to the community.

So I can try and help, please may I get you to perform a manual network search and choose a network other than what you are on.

Please also can I get you to try and dial a friend or family member using format of 00447********* and try using data.

Did this work?

Many thanks,

Lee

Re: Travel data pass SA not working

Hi Lee - thanks for the reply - I've tried selecting different networks - there are two and neither will let me use data. Both were working fine yesterday.

When you suggest calling a UK number and using data, do you mean making the call and then trying to use data afterwards, or during the call? I'm concerned this could get expensive as I don't have any add-ons for calling the UK.

Cheers

Mike

Re: Travel data pass SA not working

Hi @Mikeh66

Even if you send a quick text, its just to rule out any connectivity issues.

Many thanks,

Re: Travel data pass SA not working

Hi @Mikeh66

As the suggestions have not worked, our customer services team will be able help set it up for you.

I recommend logging into your My EE account on your phone's browser (not the app) or a computer. Once you're logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.

If you can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.

Enjoy the rest of your trip 🙂
