Thailand

Hi. Currently in Thailand and brought a cheap payg phone to save costs while over here. I am unable to sent texts or make calls but can receive texts. The message currently says the network is barred as per my request. This is obviously not what I requested as i told the lady in the shop where I bought the phone, I need it for this holiday. I'm now stuck with no communication and limited WiFi.  Can anyone help me to work out how to remove the bar?

Re: Thailand

How can EE help with a Thai phone? Take it back to the shop where you bought it.

Re: Thailand

Sorry I wasn't clear. I bought the phone in England from an ee shop with a new ee sim card and asked specifically if it can be used I'm thailand and for roaming. The sim worked in Beijing but strangely not in Thailand.

Re: Thailand

EE PAYG SIMs are set up for roaming w/out you having to do anything. Try scanning the networks again for a diff Thai network.

Re: Thailand

I have tried quite a few different networks and all of which have the same problem and same message when I try to ring anyone.

Re: Thailand

Do you have some PAYG credit to pay for calls/texts or some roaming add-on? You do know you can't use your UK Pack abroad?

Re: Thailand

Hi @Eship,

I will have to pass this over to the roaming team to take a look into it as you have mentioned you were able to use in Beijing.

Many thanks,

Lee
