Did you text ROAMING to 150 before you left the UK?
If you didn't, then you may be able to activate roaming by logging into your EE account and following the below steps and screenshot.
Have a look in the "Manage Devices" section. If you see the same thing, you may be able to activate roaming from within here.
If not, then you would need to call customer service on +44 7953 966 250 (if you have access to another phone). This call is free to make while roaming in the EU.

@sj33 Make sure you enable CALL ABROAD AND PREMIUM RATE NUMBERS as this will allow you to call out of France.

No they still won’t send, it says that roaming already is activated though. I can receive texts but they won’t send

@sj33 once call abroad is enabled it can take up to 24 hours before you can call/text out of the country your in. Try restarting the device.

As well as restarting the device, have you tried manually connecting to another network to see if that helps?

Yes I’ve also tried changing networks manually and then switching back to automatic but neither will allow me to send texts...
