Hi im just curious, My girlfriend is going on holiday and we are both on EE extra contracts and ive seen that it is free to text and call from abroad to uk, does it work both ways? so I wont be charged to text and call her?

No, you will be charged. The EE Extra benefit is a roaming benefit that applies only when you are abroad in the EU.

Sorry, ignore my previous. I was concentrating on the EE Extra benefits that I overlooked you both on UK nos. anyway.
Calling/texting her will cost the same as if she was still in UK, i.e. come out of your UK allowances. It is she that's roaming not you.
