Sailing to Ireland

I'm sailing to Ireland, and I understand that my plan covers me for text, calls and data while on mainland Ireland.

I have just spoken to and advisor who stated that I am also covered on the ferry as well. I was very surprised by this.

Please can you confirm if this is correct as I know normally usage of ferries is expensive

Re: Sailing to Ireland

Hi @tmobuser,

If you are connected to a UK or Ireland network there will be no extra charge.

If you choose to connect to a maritime satellite network, the relevant roaming charges will apply.

Find out more about maritime charges >

Thanks

Re: Sailing to Ireland

Hi,

It takes a couple of hours at best and I would suspect you should still be able to pick up the mainland signal from either Ireland or the UK.

You have not said what tariff you are on but it you were advised by CS that you are covered then that is the position.

Thanks,

Re: Sailing to Ireland

As I was suspicious about the info I checked the website and in the roaming section I selected maritime, ships & ferries as I will be on a ferry and that page states I need an add on to use data so do I believe the website or the agent

I think there's about a 2hr gap when I can't reach either land network
