Very confused. I'm in Thailand, fortunately with free wifi readily available.
However EE texted me the details to buy a travel Pass for 500mb for £6. Then they text me offering a Roaming plan of 50mb for £5 (higher plans available).
Am I missing something? Why would the travel pass not be the best option?

According to the EE roaming costs for Thailand, the daily 500mb is the option open to you.
I would also be careful about using free WiFi without a VPN and wouldn't use it to access anything private, banking apps, email etc.

My confusion was the multiple texts from EE. One stream from "EE" and another from "1024 from EE". They were separately promoting (for outside EU):
Ther travel pass is the simplest to use and offers the best value. Under what circumstances would a Roaming plan be beneficial to anyone? The various EE webpages are not helpful!
