Roaming

Hello,

 

I've arrived in Tanzania and purchased a roaming add-on of 100 international texts. Upon confirming my purchase it notified me that this was valid immediately from today however I have been unable to send or receive texts. Could someone please advise me what I can do to get it working asap and/or how long it takes to activate this service?

Did you set up roaming on your phone before travelling?

 

Please follow the steps below to try and find a full connection:-

 

Try re-booting your device

 

Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’

 

Perform a manual network search and selecting a different available network:-

 

  • iPhone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

 

Please let me know if any of that works.

Hi Christopher,

 

Thanks for your response.

I followed steps 1 - 2, but got stuck on 3 as it did not connect me to any network operators.

I've tried logging into my account online and switching on roaming and international calls in usage controls under "manage your device" however it keeps telling me sorry, that it can't help and to try again later. A few hours later, I'm still stuck. Would be grateful for any help as soon as possible!

I recommend logging into your My EE account on your phone's browser (not the app) or a computer. Once you're logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.

 

If you can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.
