Roaming - Barring?

I'm abroad in Uganda. Before traveling I set up roaming and paid for a package to call and make texts. I have reset my phone / tried flight mode. But still I cannot make calls - when I try calling any number ( including the EE customer service number forwarded by EE!) the calls dont connect - it rings off immediately and the call log says "call cancelled". As I explained on the phone with EE on weds before I travelled; it is vital that I can call whilst I am abroad, I am extremely disappointed that this hasn't been the case. How can you help?

Hello @EloiseA sorry to hear you are having problems roaming while abroad. Try a manual network search if you can and trying another local roaming network if possible. Here is a link containing more information on roaming with EE:

Due to this being a public user forum access to accounts is not allowed to check your roaming status through here. If the above does not work please call customer service on +447953 966 250 from any phone (lines open 8am UK time) who can look into this for you. If you are a personal pay monthly customer on an EE plan you can also access Live Chat using one of the ways mentioned in this link. 🙂
