No signal in ireland

I have no signal on my phone since ive arrived in ireland, and i have data roaming switched on on both my EE account and my phone itself.

Is this prevalent?  I recently transferred to EE because I saw and heard how great the roaming was, but couldn't even get a signal.

Hi Leanne - yes; I work on a cruise ship, and we're currently doing the Baltics, with a couple of voyages around the British Isles.

 

I have a Pay as you go a/c with EE - literally just purchased it because I was advised EE coverage is amazing, and with the roaming costs included in the cost, was good value for money.  Hope this isn't going to happen every time I go into a new country . . . as we're in Denmark, Estonia, Finland and Sweden over the next couple of weeks . . .

 

Just in Ireland today for a short time, before leaving to go to Guernsey.

Pay as you go should all be set up to use abroad with no problems.

Yes - it did work in the UK, just not when I tried to use it yesterday evening in Dublin

Okay so 4 networks popped up - 3 with big red crosses against them - the one that was open, so looked promising, was IRL - METEOR 3G (2G / 3G / 4G)  however the message came up that my SIM does not allow connection to this.

 

So what's the problem?  Please help!

This should not happen for you.

 

This will need to be looked into by customer services as we have no account access on the community.

 

If you can give us a call from another line we will be able to check this for you.

I'm on a cruise ship - this sim is my only access, so no I cannot call from another line without it costing more money as I have to pay for calls from ship phones.
