No service in France

Hello!

 

I have been in France since Friday with no issues for roaming, but this morning I have woken up to 'no service'. I have:

a) Turned the phone off and on again (several times).

b) Checked that my data roaming is still on (it is) and that 4G is off (it is now).

c) I have tried to manually select a carrier, and although I can do that (a blue tick appears) nothing actually happens.

d) I have swapped my SIM into another phone to see if it is the device, but I still have no service on either phone.

 

Any other ideas on what might be causing this please? Thanks in advance!

I have exactly the same problem, and I've tried all the same things except SIM swapping to no avail...

I can't even manually select a different carrier.

 

Looking forward to hearing from EE on a fix (but obviously I can't call them to chase it up!)

Me too, have done all those things too and still no service. 

EE any chance of an update on when we can expect to resume service?

Tried all of the above. Just waiting for EE to fix the problem now. Not much we can do.

Hi all.

 

Could you please try rebooting the device and another manual network search?:

 

  • iPhone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

 

Please let me know what happens and if you get any error messages.

EE please can you come clean on current roaming issues across Western Europe (per your Corporate Service Desk) - we have senior management teams currently in Spain and Denmark who are unable to get roaming servieds we have paid for. This has been going on since the weekend, and is highly unsatisfactory

My iPhone XS doesn’t even have carrier option.

Have you tried restarting the phone?

 

Is there anyone else with you who is on EE or using a UK mobile number?

Tried everything here for a wedding lots of Brit’s with other carriers no problems. I don’t know how to on the XS to change network manually

Hi @Gazalondon.

 

If you go to settings, there may be an option for carrier depending on your current iOS version.

 

If not it will be under Mobile Data, then Network Selection.

 

If you turn off automatic it will search for a list of available networks.
