No connection in Majorca

Landed in Majorca last night zero mobile data or service. Roaming is on as I travel a lot and was in Holland last week and at the airport on landing I had no problem. I have restarted my phone got 4G and 1 bar for a few seconds then it disappeared. I reset network settings also made no difference. I have my carrier set to automatic selection but I have no idea what else to try and I cannot call as have no network help please thank you.

Re: No connection in Majorca

Hello there @KirstyCalvert

Thanks for coming back to the community.

Can you try and manually connect to a network as below;

  • Phone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF

  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK

  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

Let me know how you get on.

Leanne.

Re: No connection in Majorca

Thanks for trying @KirstyCalvert

Is your roaming showing as set up in your My EE account?

To check this, log into your My EE account online and go to Menu > Manage Device > Roaming

If this is not showing as ticked, can you activate this within your My EE?

This can take up to 24 hours to update for you.

Let me know how this goes.

Re: No connection in Majorca

Thanks @KirstyCalvert

Can you try the settings below and see if this works for you.

Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Enable 4G > Turn this off.

Then try and connect to a network again in the Carrier Settings.

If this does not work, can you try a network reset.

Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

This will remove any saved WiFi passwords.

Let me know if this works for you.

Re: No connection in Majorca

First option didn’t work so I did a second network reset and I got 4G with one bar for about 30 seconds then back to nothing.

Re: No connection in Majorca

It appears to be that I am in a signal black spot at the hotel but my partner who is on Dutch T-Mobile has full signal.
