No Service

I am travelling abroad in South Africa from London and have no EE service! Help?

Have you had a signal on your device since you got there ?


Just to check did you enable roaming on your account before you left the UK ?    


Have you used this device abroad before?


Have you tried restarting the device?

Could you please get back to us answering @Chris_B's questions?


You can check your roaming status on your My EE account under Menu >>> Manage Device.


May be worth trying the troubleshooting below too:


Try re-booting your device


Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’


Perform a manual network search:-


  • iPhone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search
