Re: New roaming laws and cruise ships

The new EU roaming regulations have no impact on cruise ship / aircraft mobile systems because those systems use a satellite based system for which all mobile networks have a separate tariff for satellite based systems.

The EU regulations also only covers EU mobile networks.  Cruise ships and Aircraft networks are not run by any mobile network and are run by a seperate company (not sure who runs the cruise ship system but the company that runs the aircraft system is AeroMobile).

Re: New roaming laws and cruise ships

Hi,

As far as I'm aware It doesn't apply to ships so if you use their uplink then you will be charged.

Thanks
