My phone won't work properly in Macau

I have recently moved to Macau for a year, I want to keep my EE phone number so I have a pay as you go sim. I was informed that to keep the number active I need to send a text every three months.


I just tried to send a text and it keepa failing to send. I have signal on the phone and I have recieved text messages on it from EE and my bank but I can't send messages or make phone calls or use data! Please help! I have tried everything 2G/3G roaming on restart...


As far as I'm aware my roaming should be working as I've used the same sim in the same phone in Thailand, India, Belguim, and Italy. Is it a problem with the network in Macau? 


And as my phone calls arent working I can't phone anyone to ask for advice!

Was the text chargeable? 


Hibernation might be your problem. 



To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.
