My data/Internet is working fine but can't send texts or make calls abroad (EU).

Just landed in Berlin, got the usual texts from EE telling me I can use my calls/texts/data at no extra cost, great. Tried to text my mum to let her know we'd arrived and it failed. Turned my mobile data on and it works fine. So my roaming is working but I can't send texts or make calls? Any idea what I need to do?

Good morning @Amy24.

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you make a call do you get an error message?

Also is your account on an EE personal contract?

Speak soon 🙂

Hi,

If I call someone it says 'dialling' but just beeps like it's engaged, though it's not.

Yes it is a personal EE monthly contact, it's a max plan.

Thank you

Hi @Amy24

So I can try and help, please may I get you to perform a manual network search and choose a network other than what you are on.

Please also can I get you to try and ring using 0044.

If these do not work, please let me know.

Many thanks,

Lee
