Mum planning to spend half the year in France

Hello

My Mum is planning to spend 5 months continuously of the year in France.  She will get a French mobile, but wants to keep her UK mobile.  She wants the UK phone for the 7 months in the UK and  so the family can still whatsApp her.

Is there a plan she can use that she could use her UK phone just for WhatsApp while outside of the UK for the 5 months of winter and use again upon return home to the UK?

Thanks

Michelle

@CuriousMM04 there is no plan that allows usage for longer than 2 months without incurring international charges. The tariffs are for short stays abroad ( 2 months )   The cheapest option is a PAYG.

Hi @CuriousMM04

Welcome to the community.

@Chris_B  is right, our pay monthly plans are designed for short stays abroad.

Check out our range of pay as you go SIMs.

Re: Mum planning to spend half the year in France

Hello

What would the international charges be?  Also, would the 'UK' data and calls be applicable again upon return to the UK?

Alternatively, if she went on a PAYG, could she keep her current contract mobile number?

Thanks

She can keep the number by transferring to a pay as you go. She would need to be at the end of/near the end of her contract to request this however.

See p12 of EE non-standard charges price guide under "Stable link and volume based data FUPs".
