im in NZ. I called to organise a change to the max plan before I left. Now im
here the phone appears to be connected to Spark NZ but does not seem to be using data. Have checked and data is turned on.
Have turned it off and on again. It still doesn’t work.

Log into your online account and ensure you have activated roaming and international calls.
I assume you didn't check roaming was active before leaving the UK.

Hello, thanks for your reply. I checked and they are active on my account.
the screen reads Spark NZ 4G, so it appears to be connected.
i called EE before I left and was told I could just use my phone as normal when in NZ.
incidentally I tried to use a data pack recently in South America and that did not work either. I’ve been through all the phone settings and everything is on.

It works - there's no problem
You get redirected to the add-on page - roaming works but there's an account issue
Nothing works - either a phone or roaming isn't enabled issue.
