Loss of Data Roaming

I'm working in Norway and up till yesterday afternoon my EE data roaming was fine. Yesterday evening when leaving work I had no data connectivity. Anyone have any ideas. ?

You can use any network that your phone will connect to, @navyhatter.

 

If we do not have a roaming agreement with an operator, it will not let you connect at all. So, there's nothing to worry about with that.

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

 

It sounds like you're fully set up for roaming. Please try the steps below to try and get a connection:-

 

Try re-booting your device

 

Try turning 4G off in ‘settings’

 

Perform a manual network search:-

 

  • iPhone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

 

Please let me know if any of that works.

1. Have tried re-booting phone ----- no difference

2. Changed to 2G/3G (auto connect) ------- no difference ------ returned to 2G/3G/4G

3. Phone shows me as connected to Telia N|EE

If connecting to anyone other than EE's partner (Telia N) would that incure charges ? or would this still be within my Roaming data plan.

Had the same problem with no data availability. Sorted by following the above solution too.

 

Bit of a pain trying to go on and off open wifi networks to get tourist info. Ee obviously has an issue it needs to speak to Telia about...

 

Nice to do a bit of old skool wandering with a guide book stuck to my nose so bout all lost 🙂
