Keeping Greek carrier not Turkish when roaming?

I'm soon off to Kos for a week. As part of Greece, it's included in EU roaming. However, I've been warned that often a phone will try to connect to Turkey (only a few miles away). Is there a way of avoiding this, or do I need to look out for a particular carrier before allowing roaming? Does anybody know the name of the Greek carrier so I can make sure I only select this?

Thank you!

You just need to turn off the 'automatic' option in your handsets carrier / network settings and manually select the Greek mobile network you want to use.
