@JPEK  Did you enable roaming on your account before you left the UK ?  Roaming is not enabled by default and you have to have this enabled.

Hi @JPEK

Have you tried logging into your online account and seeing if you can activate international calling and roaming? If you cannot then you will need to call EE from another device or speak to them via live chat.

Thanks

My roaming settings are all open. EE's "commercial reasons" are blocking roaming calls because they buy limited roaming time from their partners' networks, to save EE's expenses.

This happens although I'm paying for unlimited roaming.

My roaming settings are for unlimited usage - the EE limits are the reason. I'm taking this to the board level in EE and BT and with Ofcom. Breach of contract by EE with serious business problems to our company

This may be stating the obvious but just either get your current ee mobile unlocked, or buy a dual sim phone, and when you get to destination, buy a local simcard on pay as you go. I did this when I went to russia and on my last visit I got 7gb data, several hundred sms and minutes for less than £4 on the mtc network. Why mess about with roaming outside the eu? Its just too expensive.

Re: ng thRe: Intl roaming barred by EE; without reasons - any experience,

Hi,
I'm travelling in EU so the problem is EE! They start blocking numbers when the roaming airtime bought from the local partner is run out. They also block local service numbers (taxi, directory, emergency etc.) because of being more expensive to call in. This is breach of contracts by EE so will become public through UK regulatory bodies.

Hi @JPEK

Can you confirm if you are able to make and receive calls to and from the UK in your current location?

Which country are you in?

Do you have a business account with EE?
