International text and calls

Currently in the US and unable to send texts or make calls.

When I try to text I get a message saying 'EE is unable to send this message - error 10'

 

Similarly when I try to dial out I get a recorded message saying international calls are not allowed from this number. 

 

I called EE before travelling to advise them that I was overseas.

 

Please help.

@Danny8boy: Can you use data? If on contract, did you check roaming was activated on your EE a/c before you left UK?

 

Try logging into your My EE account online & go to Menu / Manage Device / Roaming Abroad and also Call Abroad and Premium rate. They will show as ticked if roaming and calling abroad is activated. If they are not ticked, can you activate these settings?

Yeah on contract .Data working perfectly fine. Spoke to EE before travelling to activate roaming add on etc .
