I'm moving to NZ in a few days, my contract finishes in March, what can I do?

I would like to keep my number, and I'd like to know if I can use my data as normal in NZ? Should i cancel my contract early or better not to cancel and then switch to pay as you go?

(I will be getting a NZ number once i'm there but I don't want to lose my UK number cause i'll be coming back next year!)

thank you!

To use your phone as normal in NZ, you would need to have the Roam Further add-on, which costs £10 per month unless you are on a Smart or 5G Smart plan, in which case it is a swappable benefit you can pick for free. However, it is not intended for long term roaming, which a year would be classed as. You could use roam further until EE contacts you to say you've been roaming too long, pay off the remainder of the contract and then convert to PAYG, ensuring to make chargeable use every few months on it.
