That means your plan allowances can be used in the USA, @Susangossage.

Where does it tell you that you have to pay? And what does it say that you have to pay for?

When did you take out this Max Plan? Only if after 10 May 2017 is US included.

See https://ee.co.uk/help/add-ons-benefits-and-plans/call-or-going-abroad/roaming-costs/countries/usa .

Hi @Susangossage

Welcome to the community. 🙂

Does your plan in your My EE account say that USA is included?

Under the 'plan summary, does it say you can use your plan in 48 countries or 53?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Chris

@Susangossage If you go to this URL on your phone, what happens?

http://neverssl.com

It should work, but if you get redirected to the add-on page then it usually indicates there's an issue with your account, but data is working at least or you'd get nothing.

If you get nothing, then data isn't working, which is usually a phone issue or roaming isn't activated on your account.

Have you ever added a data pass like maxtravel?

Just try and use data. It will either work or you’ll get the add on screen.

The reason I suggest using neverssl.com is because it never uses SSL. Most sites nowadays are set to use HTTPS and often you will find that the intercept doesn't work for secure sites, as you don't want EE or anyone else to pretend to be that site and launch a man in the middle attack.

Similarly, hotel wifi login pages don't often work when trying a HTTPS page, so handy to have a HTTP one to try.
