I can't phone or text in germany

Came to Germany from UK with EE Samsung S7 and I have a 2 year contract and it says I should be able to text and call for free along with 500 MB of data roaming. Only data roaming works and I can receive texts and call but messages and calls don't go through at all. Is there any solution to this, other than restarting your phone as I've done that 5 times already with no luck?

@mszypkowski: Did you activate roaming on your MyEE a/c before you left? Presumably not. Having a roaming allowance does not auto enable it. You may still be able to in your online a/c under Manage Devices. If not, you will need to call EE. Use the landline nos. in my sig.

Welcome to the Community @mszypkowski

It sounds like your International bar may still be active.

Let me know if you're able to activate it in My EE as per @XRaySpeX 's advice.

Thanks - Karen. Smiley Happy

Yes that worked. It took 24 hours and a couple of restarts but after I
activated roaming online i can text abroad again. 🙂 thank you so much!
Will i need to deactivate it when I return home?

Re: I can't phone or text in germany

You're welcome. Glad I could be of assistance.

No, it should now be activated for whenever you go abroad in future.
