I am in Gran Canaria on max plan so supposed to be able to roam but phone will not get any signal at all. Can you help

Did you activate Roaming before you left the UK?
Even if you're on a plan that includes a roaming allowance, it still needs activating.
Are you a personal pay monthly customer?
