So, yes, you should be altering the router providing it has a setting for that.
What model TP-Link mobile router is this?

I think all this is a red herring which stems from OP trying to access an EE router URL from a non-EE router. The EE router URL was given to OP by EE CS in mistaken belief that OP had an EE router as well as an EE SIM.

I have seen also another user not able to roam using their TP Link device yes but I can not find the thread. I will post it here if I do. 🙂

Sorry @Profile closed, each time I have tried to respond it has taken me to your profile page.
I have not been able to connect to the add-on link you supplied. I spoke to EE again, who suggest I may need to hook up the TP M7350 to a computer in order to access http://ee.mobilebroadband. @XRaySpeX, who has also been very helpful, believes this to be a red herring, but EE assure me that being enabled for roaming does not guarantee automatic connection.

http://ee.mobilebroadband, obviously an EE construct, is a local MBB URL that cannot possibly work on a TP-Link router. EE CS are only used to dealing with EE kit & mistakenly extrapolated it to others.

@XRaySpeX we have already established the device can be accessed through one of those links but it will not connect.
@bigd60springer try a manual network search under settings>dial up as mentioned on page 31 of the user manual:
Do any networks show up? Can you connect to any?
You can also use page 30 to check you have the correct APN settings:
Profile name - EE
APN - everywhere
PDP type - IPv4
APN type - static
Username - eesecure
Password - secure
Authentication type - PAP

@Profile closed: But not the other. It's a comparison, so it does matter! I wish to illustrate that it will be exactly the same in UK & that http://ee.mobilebroadband is a load of BS for a TP-Link.

Thought I'd try to resolve this issue whilst still in Spain as whatever I did when back in the UK would not be testable until I went abroad again.
I have TP Link M7350 and EE DATA SIM. Although I was assured by EE that I would be able to use roaming whilst in Spain this was not the case and no internet connection was possible. Several community members tried hard to help, but to no avail.
I called TP Link technical help in China on 00 86 755 2650 4400 at least 6 times and on each occasion was cut off within seconds. However, they called me back, listened to the issue and advised me that I needed an APN Number which could only be supplied by EE.
So, I called EE again, for the nth time on 07953 966 250, explained the situation and was told there isn't an APN Number as such, but let's see what we can do. The M7350 is not on their list of supported devices, so the agent went through every setting with me and we went back into tplinkmifi.net/Dial up/Create and made a new profile as follows;-
Profile name. Internet
PDP type. IPv4
APN number. everywhere
Auth. type. CHAP
WORKED FIRST TIME. GENIUS! DON'T RECALL THE NAME OF THE AGENT, BUT A BIG THANKS TO HIM IF HE READS THIS POST.
