I have already left the country and all my outgoing calls are barred so I can't ring the number provided to set it up, does anyone know how to solve this please?

If you cannot do this via your online account or app then you need to call CS or if pay monthly use live chat via EE contract page. (click on the cross next to EE and the live chat function will be visible).

How did you get on following @Northerner's advice?
If you weren't able to set it up through your My EE account, I recommend hanging around when logged in.
A chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.
If you can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.
