Hey, my phone will not let me make calls.

I am currently abroad in Cyprus and my phone will not let me make any calls. I have tried changing the service provider, resetting my phone, all sorts but not working.

However I can still text people and use my data as planned.

Tha same things happened when I was in Croatia last week.

Because of this I can’t ring EE to find the problem

Please can anyone help me ?

Re: Hey, my phone will not let me make calls.

Hello @mad_mildred,

Welcome to the community,

Have you checked here:

You need to make sure that roaming is enabled in your account, which you can check, by logging in to your account on the website and then click on manage account, also make sure that you have enough money in your account to make calls and make sure that you are using the right prefer to make calls, for the UK either +44 or 0044.

You will otherwise have to ring EE to get some help, which you can do by using something like Skype or Viber. There is a free number if you check in the contact us.

Hello there @mad_mildred

Thanks for coming to the community.

Can you also check your account is set up for international calls.

To do this can you log into your My EE account online and go to Menu > Manage Device > Call Abroad and Premium Rate.

If this is not showing as ticked, can you activate this within your My EE?

This can take up to 24 hours to update for you.

You will also have an option to chat within your My EE account if the above doesn't work for you.

Let us know how you get on.
