Have an international pack and cannot make calls to Australia from Europe.

International Packs are meant for making International calls from the UK to various countries incl. Oz. Other than that they allow the usual roaming within the EU for calling within the EU only. That would not incl. calling Oz from EU.

 

You would need to top-up and/or buy an add-on to call Oz as from https://ee.co.uk/help/add-ons-benefits-and-plans/call-or-going-abroad/roaming-costs/countries/france / PAYG.
