@saints2012 it’s not working because you didn’t enable roaming on your EE account before you left the UK, you can still do this and you will need to log into your online EE account and enable roaming you will also need to enable call abroad and premium rate numbers once enabled restart your device

If you have a pay monthly account with us, you may need to activate roaming and calls abroad;
You can check this by logging into your My EE account online and go to Menu > Manage Device > Roaming and Call abroad and Premium rate calls > are they showing as ticked?
If not, can you activate these settings?
