In spite of being covered for 500 mg data when using my phone in EU, I was unable to phone or text to UK friends while in Cyprus recently. Got a 'failed' message each time. Any ideas?

@Lambkin70 Did you enable roaming on your account? Your contract and the benefits it gives you doesn't mean roaming is enabled on your account as these are not the same thing.
The contract allows you to use your allowances when abroad and that's all it doesn't mean it will work if roaming is not enabled to do this text ROAMING to 150 or call customer services to get roaming enabled on your account.
