EMERGENCY !! phone in BRAZIL - but it does not connect - WHY?

Hello,

 

have you ever tried to transfer money while abroad?

 

and, you discovered that the Bank sends a 'code' to your mobile phone !!

 

But, your SIM does not connect to the local providers ....

 

You may end up like me: hungry because you can not use your own money due to EE not connecting my F******KING phone.

 

could somebody KINDLY contact via the private message to resolve this S**T ?

Did you turn on roaming before going abroad?

 

Log into your MyEE and turn it on.

Log into your online account and then menu - Manage device, make sure you have activated roaming and international calls.

Or

From the MyEE app current usage - controls, activate use phone abroad and make international and premium calls

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

I have called EE ..

they explained that 'they changed some settings', and they asked me to reboot the phone

 

no changes happened

 

the website does not allow me to change any settings related to roaming

and the roaming option are turned OFF.

 

to say that I am upset with EE does not come close ....

Are you not able to activate roaming in your My EE Account online?

 

And were our Mobile Care team also not able to do this?

I have called, and emailed EE.

 

and, they could not change the settings on my account - see below:

Now, I will be loosing a fortune in Exchange rate instead of being able to send money from the UK via a transfer service ....

Because I can not receive an SMS in my phone number !!

 

All in the name of incompetence of EE.

Our call back teams can call UK mobile numbers and landlines, they would be unable to call the number provided.

 

Do you have a UK mobile number we can call you on?


 

Guess what?!

No, I can not provide another UK number because I am on my own.

And, the only UK number that I have does not work due to EE's incompetence.

 

And, I take this opportunity to clarify my feelings towards EE at this stage:

 

 

I will contact you upon my return in the UK.

@anunhappyuser   Your blaming EE but you didn’t check to make sure that roaming was enabled on your account be you left the UK.  This is your responsibility to make sure it is not EEs as EE don’t know your going abroad.     Always the  networks fault when something doesn’t work.

It your responsibility to have the systems flexible enough to*CHANGE
WHEN THE CUSTOMER CALLS AND REQUESTS FOR A CHANGE*

Yes, it is the fault of EE if the **bleep**ing systems do not work as they
should.

I am looking forward to have this conversation in detail.

So far I had to pay for higher prices on flight due to this mess.

and, ask people use their card to pay for things.


Now I have to put up with your attitude.

@anunhappyuser   once roaming has been activated it can take up to 24 hours for it to filter through.  You also need to make sure roaming is enabled before you leave the UK and that was down to you.    You can blame EE as much as you like but you didn’t help yourself so this wouldn’t happen and you can not dodge that.
