EE coverage in Nepal

Hi,

After a few phonecalls to EE (from someone else's phone!) I've discovered that my EE sim card is not currently working in Nepal, because of some issues with the agreement with NTC. My EE simcard used to work fine when it connected to the NCELL network in Nepal. This has been an issue now for a few months. Do EE know when they will sort out their agreement with NTC (or go back to NCELL?) so EE customers will be able to use their sim cards in Nepal once again?

Re: EE coverage in Nepal

Hi @HannahSpanner

Welcome to the community.

Are they the only 2 networks that are available when you do a manual network search?

  • iPhone – Settings > Carrier > Toggle Automatic OFF
  • Android – Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK
  • Windows – Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection > Tap on start manual search

Look forward to hearing from you.

Chris

Re: EE coverage in Nepal

Thanks very much - this has fixed it! It wouldn't allow me to manually connect to the NCELL network (it said I should try again later) but did allow me to connect to NTC, and now my simcard appears to me working. Thanks again!
