I'm currently in the US for a short period and I have a EE Max plan which is one of the newer plans that includes the USA for roaming.
My question was if I am able to now call US mobiles and US landlines while I am here? Or is it just calls back to the UK that I am able to make?

Yes, it's both calls back to the UK and calls / texts to local numbers in any of the included roaming zones.
Whilst is not particularly clear especially for the extra none-EU countries Max plans include, it's mentioned in the price plan guide here on page 2.

@Lee_H@Profile closed Thank you both for your quick answer and clearing that up for me.
I was trying to find the answer on the website but couldn't get a clear answer.
