Hi, please help. I have the plus package so I can use my phone in NZ. When away from hotel my phone needs data roaming to work properly. Is this included in the package or will I get huge bills when I get home if I use it?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

If you have an EE Max plan taken out after the 10/05/17 then roaming in NZ is included, so no charge.
If not then you will need an add-on

@AT64 Did EE send you a welcome text? That usually tells you if you can use your data as part of your plan?

Hi @AT64 Yes, it's the data roaming button. If you were sent a text saying data is included, and you're on a max plan, you can turn on data roaming and not face additional costs for data.
Also, with EE you can't just get charged for data. If you didn't have a max plan or a data add-on, you would just be redirected to a page to buy an add-on, so you cannot face unknown costs.
I do tend to check my unbilled usage when abroad every now and then just to make sure it looks ok though.

Good Morning @AT64.
New Zealand sounds great, funnily enough, I had a kiwifruit for breakfast! 😉
I'm glad you got the help you needed in the community today.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday 🙂
