Data roaming not working

My data isn’t working on my phone in France. Please help

Can you make calls and texts as @XRaySpeX has asked?

No service. Spent one useless hour with the customer service, they couldn’t understand what’s the issue. When switching off and back one there’s a message on the screen “iPhone not activated, contact network provide”. I updated the software, checked everything set up according to other relevant posts - still no service. Frustrating.

When you go into settings on the phone, is there an option for carrier?

 

If there is, please turn off automatic mode to search for networks, and select one from the list.
