Data roaming activation - can I enable it whilst on holiday in Spain?

Hi, I can't get service on my iPhone in Majorca, but it is working through my iPad. Why is it enabled in my iPad but not in my phone. HAve discovered how hard it is to sort stuff out when abroad and no other phone to use! Live chat won't work, tried to enable it thou my EE device setting but an error appears. What can I do? I'm lost without a phone to use and just a little miffed it's deactivated when I have always had it there in the past. Thanks Michelle

I hope you're having an amazing time in Majorca so far despite this.

 

How did you try to contact the live chat team? I've found that logging into your My EE account on your phone's browser (not the app) or a computer is the best way to contact them from abroad.

 

Once you're logged in, a chat window will pop up when an advisor is available.

 

If you can't get in contact with chat, please get in touch from an alternative phone.

 

Please let us know how you got on, once you've spoken to them.

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get wifi connection and logged on to my account and eventually to live chat. It was quite an ordeal to just find that out. I still don't know why roaming was disabled on my account for my iPhone but active for my iPad? Pointless really when calls are routed through iPhone. 

Anyway - sorted now so I'm happy.
